Position Summary: The Continuing Care Aid (CCA) provides direct support to individuals and families residing in The Carter House Family Treatment Center, which supports parents in recovery from substance use while caring for their children. The CCA plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, supportive, and trauma-informed environment that promotes healing, stability, and healthy family functioning through both Western and Indigenous approaches to care. Key Responsibilities Client Support & Engagement:Assist parents/children with daily routines/activities of daily livingProvide emotional support to navigate recovery and parenting responsibilitiesModel and reinforce healthy communication, boundaries, and parenting skills Childcare & Supervision:Supervise and engage children in culturally relevant learning activities Support parents in caregiving, using Indigenous ways of knowingMonitor child safety and development Program & Environment Support:Support daily routines, cleanliness, and structured activities Communication & Documentation:Observe, monitor and document client behaviors, interactions, and progress Health & Safety:Assist with medication administrationRespond to emergencies Follow health, safety, and infection control procedures Qualifications:Understanding of Indigenous culture and intergenerational traumaCommunity Support Worker program certificate or equivalent qualificationExperience working in addiction, mental health, or family services settings Knowledge of trauma-informed care, harm reduction, and child development Valid CPR/First Aid Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector clearanceValid Drivers License Working Conditions:Provides 24/7 support, 8 hr shifts days, evenings, nightsInvolves standing, lifting, and responding to emotionally charged situationsParticipation in safety interventions and de-escalation- Location Saskatoon, SK
