By focusing on these values, our homes turn houses and streets into desirable neighborhoods with shared ideals and family values. *Responsibilities* As an integral member of the Finance Team, the *Assistant Accountant* will assist with bookkeeping and office administration duties. Corporate Accounting: * Assist with Annual Corporate Filings and resolution preparation * Assist the accounting team with banking needs such as bank deposits, draft issuances, wire payments * Assist with Accounts Payable entry * Assist with property management maintenance contracts * Assist with property tax tracking and property tax appeal information gathering * Assist with application of speculation tax exemptions * Assist with investor reporting package printing and binding * Assist with employee expense report administration Office Administration: * Use Microsoft Word and Excel to prepare reports, memos, and documents * Sort incoming mail, faxes and courier deliveries for distribution to team members * Prepare and send outgoing faxes, mail and courier parcels * Code, scan and file material according to the established procedures * Scan all invoices and bank statements and file on online network * Provide administrative and clerical support to management (making travel, meeting arrangements) * Answer and direct phone calls in a professional and courteous manner * Respond to general inquiries via phone or email * Greet visitors to office in a friendly and professional manner * Maintain a professionally presentable boardroom, reception, and common area * Responsible meeting room bookings and ad hoc external meeting bookings Job Type: Full-time Pay: $46,000.00-$51,000.00 per year Benefits: * Dental care * Extended health care Education: * Bachelor's Degree (preferred) Experience: * Accounting: 2 years (preferred) Language: * English (required) Work Location: In person- Location Vancouver, BC
