This position is in Cargill's protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.Job Location: High River, ABJob Type: Full TimeShifts Available: : Rotating 12 hour shift (four (4) days on, five (5) days off, five (5) days on, four (4) days off)Compensation: $41.00/hrBenefits Information  Benefits are based in our Collective Bargaining AgreementPaid VacationExtended Health & DentalVision CarePension PlanShort-term Disability and Life InsuranceEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Tuition Reimbursement Principal Accountabilities    Monitor boiler operation (pressure, temperature), including chemistry on water, safety checks and coordination of maintenance activities including lockout tagout and preventative maintenance completion with minimal guidanceRecord and document maintenance and other boiler related activitiesTroubleshoot and diagnose complex mechanical problems and provide follow-up as requiredPerform daily, weekly and monthly boiler operation checklist with occasional guidanceComplete regular preventative boiler maintenance checks with little to no guidanceMaintain building, roof, floor and report substandard conditionsPerform emergency duties if required and understand various uses of fire-fighting equipmentOperate ammonia refrigeration systeOther duties as assigned by Chief Engineer Required Qualifications    Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in CanadaMust be 18 years or older3rd class power engineering certificateAbility to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safelyAbility to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud, noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance noticeBasic computer skillsKnowledge of ABSA standards and PSM (Process Safety Management) requirements Preferred Qualifications    Experience working with boilers and steamExperience operating large scale industrial firetube boilerExperience in food manufacturing environmentExperience in operating ammonia refrigeration system Please note that this position does not include relocation reimbursement.Cargill is an equal opportunity employer and committed to providing accommodation to our job applicants with disabilities.To apply using chat/text, please click Apply Now button OR use this link to create a login to apply.
