<p><strong>Position Title: Health Promoter (one vacancy)</strong></p><p><strong>Employment Status: Temporary Full-Time (one Year Contract)</strong></p><p><strong>Position Status:</strong> This is a Bargaining Unit position. Guided by our Strategic Plan, Theory of Change, brand, client stories, and resources, we are diversifying, expanding, and strengthening how we serve the community.<br><br><u><strong>Position Overview</strong></u></p><p>Reporting to the Manager Integrated Care and experience, this position works collaboratively across internal teams and external partners to identify population health needs and implement strategies that promote health and reduce health inequities, particularly for individuals who are marginalized and a part of equity deserving populations.</p><p>As part of a dynamic, interdisciplinary team, the Health Promoter contributes to improving health outcomes through the design and delivery of prevention-focused programs, health education, harm reduction initiatives, and community engagement activities. The role emphasizes creating supportive social, economic, and physical environments that foster health and well-being.</p><p>The Health Promoter applies strong communication and facilitation skills to build effective partnerships and drive system and culture change. Using a health equity and evidence-informed lens, the Health Promoter leads initiatives across the full planning cycle<strong> ? </strong>assessment, development, implementation, and evaluation<strong> ? </strong>to generate understanding, mobilize action, and influence practice across the broader community.</p><p><u><em><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></em></u></p><ol><li>Work with community-based groups to identify the health-related needs and capacities of residents in the surrounding community and among priority populations and emerging population needs.</li><li>Work with staff, partner agencies and community members to establish priority iss- Location Pickering, ON
