*Job Summary* Join our dynamic construction team as an Asphalt Raker, a vital role dedicated to ensuring the smooth and efficient paving process on various residential infrastructure projects. As an Asphalt Raker, you will work closely with the equipment operator to spread and level asphalt material, helping to create durable, high-quality surfaces. This position offers a hands-on opportunity to contribute to impactful projects while developing valuable skills in construction and paving operations. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help us deliver top-tier results on every job site. *Responsibilities* * Assist in spreading and leveling asphalt material using rakes, shovels, and other hand tools to ensure even coverage. * Collaborate with equipment operator to manage the flow of asphalt from dump trucks onto the paving surface. * Maintain a clean and organized work area, removing debris and excess materials to promote safety and efficiency. * Follow safety protocols diligently, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times. * Support paving team members by preparing materials, setting up work zones, and assisting with minor equipment adjustments as needed. * Monitor the quality of the asphalt surface during application, making adjustments to achieve a smooth finish. * Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure timely project completion. *Experience* * Prior experience in construction or paving is preferred but not required; we value motivated individuals eager to learn. * Familiarity with heavy equipment operation is a plus, especially related to paving or road construction machinery. * Ability to perform physically demanding tasks outdoors in various weather conditions. * Strong teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward safety and quality standards. * Basic understanding of construction site safety procedures and practices.
