Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: At heights. Outdoors. Level of expertise: Maintenance and repair. Tasks: Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs. Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements. Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials. Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware. Supervise other workers. Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments. Maintain inventory of supplies, equipment and uniforms. Develop quality management and quality assurance standards. Experience: 5 years or more.
