Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work setting: Construction site. Tasks: Load, unload and transport construction materials. Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring and barricades. Assist in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs. Assist in demolishing buildings. Clean and pile salvaged materials. Remove rubble and other debris at construction sites. Direct traffic at or near construction sites. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Tight deadlines. Manual dexterity. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Personal suitability: Dependability. Flexibility. Reliability. Team player.
