*Overview* Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Foot Care Nurse and make a meaningful difference in patients' lives by providing specialized foot care services. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing care focused on foot health, helping patients maintain mobility, prevent complications, and improve their overall quality of life. Your expertise will ensure that each patient receives compassionate, professional treatment tailored to their individual needs, fostering trust and promoting wellness at every step. *Duties and Responsibilities:* * Excellence in assessment skills of lower limb and overall health of client. * Performs Basic and Advanced Foot Care within scope of practice. * Follows all guidelines for infection control set out by Infection Prevention and Control Canada with relation to Foot Care. Disposable Devices are used for all clients. * Any problems met beyond scope of practice of RN/LPN shall be consulted to an appropriate Health Care professional. * Must chart each client visit properly in client chart. * Charts to be returned by the end of each workday. * Any injury/harm to client resulting from foot care must be reported to the Office/ Nurse Manager. * Responsible for monitoring supplies, notifying office manager when supplies must be ordered. * Reports directly to Director of Nursing Services. Qualifications: * Graduate of an approved school of nursing; or graduate of an approved LPN college. * Current active registration through either ARNNL or College of LPN?s. * Basic and Advanced Foot Care course. * Demonstrated clinical competency. * Evidence of interest in continued professional growth. * Demonstrates dependability, cooperativeness, and leadership abilities. * Ability to work effectively with others, and function independently with professional limitations. * Demonstrates excellent organizational skills. * Effective oral and written communication. * In good health and well groomed.
