Guglu Homes Inc. Brokerage is seeking a detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organized *Bookkeeper* to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the brokerage's day-to-day bookkeeping and financial operations, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting. The ideal candidate is proficient in *QuickBooks*, has experience with *Lone Wolf Back Office* or similar accounting software, and possesses a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. Experience working in a real estate brokerage is considered a strong asset. Key Responsibilities * Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using *QuickBooks, Lone Wolf Back Office, and other accounting software* as required. * Process accounts payable and accounts receivable accurately and efficiently. * Record deposits, brokerage commissions, expenses, journal entries, and account adjustments. * Perform monthly bank, credit card, and general ledger reconciliations. * Conduct account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies to ensure the accuracy of financial records. * Prepare monthly financial statements, management reports, budgets, and cash flow summaries. * Prepare and reconcile HST/GST filings and assist with other statutory reporting requirements. * Assist with payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. * Support month-end and year-end closing procedures by preparing reconciliations and documentation for external accountants. * Maintain organized financial records, invoices, receipts, and supporting documentation. * Monitor accounts receivable, accounts payable, and outstanding vendor payments. * Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning. * Ensure compliance with CRA requirements, accounting standards, and company policies. * Support audits and respond to requests from accountants, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies. * Collaborate with management to improve financial processes, reporting, and internal controls. * Perform other bookkeeping and administrative duties as required. Administrative & Front Desk Support As part of a collaborative office environment, the successful candidate may occasionally assist with general administrative and front desk responsibilities, including: * Greeting clients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner. * Answering and directing incoming telephone calls and emails. * Managing incoming and outgoing mail, courier deliveries, and office correspondence. * Preparing, scanning, filing, and organizing documents. * Maintaining office supplies and ensuring the reception area remains organized and presentable. * Providing administrative support to brokers, sales representatives, and management. * Assisting with front desk coverage during staff absences, lunch breaks, or other operational needs. Qualifications * Minimum *2?3 years* of bookkeeping or accounting experience. * *Proficiency in QuickBooks is required.* * Experience with *Lone Wolf Back Office* is considered a strong asset. * Experience using accounting software such as *QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms*. * Previous experience working in a real estate brokerage or property management environment is preferred. * Diploma or certificate in Accounting, Bookkeeping, Business Administration, or a related field is considered an asset. * Strong understanding of: * Bookkeeping and accounting principles * Accounts payable and accounts receivable * Bank and general ledger reconciliations * Payroll processing * HST/GST reporting * Financial reporting and budgeting * Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and the Microsoft Office Suite. * Ability to quickly learn new software and adapt to changing business needs.
