Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Tasks: Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Measure, cut and fasten underlay and underpadding. Prepare flooring plans and scheduling. Measure, cut and install carpeting on floors. Prepare and install hardwood floors. Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings. Estimate costs and materials. Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces. Install outdoor carpets. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Hand-eye co-ordination. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Client focus. Efficient interpersonal skills. Team player. Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year. Employment terms options: Evening. Morning. Day.
