Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Outdoors. At heights. Hot. Work setting: Willing to relocate. Tasks: Plan and direct grounds maintenance. Maintain work records and logs. Resolve work problems, provide technical advice and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality. Weed, prune and trim trees and plants. Remove litter and garbage. Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs and trees. Lay sod or seed. Establish work schedules and procedures. Cut grass. Cart and spread topsoil and other materials. Assist with landscape constructions. Apply fertilizers. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Rake and collect refuse. Sweep debris and remove snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds and other areas, and load snow and debris into carts or trucks. Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Truck or equipment experience: Snowblower. Equipment and machinery experience: Pick-up truck. Sod cutter. Tractor mower. Area of specialization: Lawn care. Tree service. Grounds maintenance. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer.
