Marking livestock as proof of ownership. Monitoring animal health. Perform pig littering activities such as clipping needle teeth, docking tails, administering iron and other medication(s), identification of piglets, and castration. Track and report on current feed inventory . Weaning. Feed and tend animals. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Detect disease and health problems in crops, livestock and poultry. Write daily basic progress reports. Supervision: 1 to 2 people. Equipment and machinery experience: Feeding and watering system. Storage and silage system. Tractor. Loader. Manure spreader. Automated systems experience: Automated environmental control equipment. Manure handling and storage. Area of specialization: Swine.
