Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Operate manual or semi-automatic, fully automated welding equipment. Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes. Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications. Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines. Determine weldability of materials. Type of materials: Aluminum alloys. Steel, iron and heavy metals. Welding techniques: Gas metal arc welding (GMAW). Spool. Area of specialization: Custom fabrication. Ornamental work. Fencing, balconies, stairs and railings. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Welding helmet. Screening questions: Are you currently a student?. Do you have experience working in this field?. Do you meet the language requirements listed in the job posting for the position (English or French)?. Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.- Location Surrey, BCV4N 3S1
