*About the role* We are seeking an experienced HVAC Journeyperson Service Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing commercial HVAC and refrigeration equipment across a variety of customer sites throughout the Lower Mainland and Fraser Valley. You will work independently while building strong relationships with customers and collaborating closely with fellow technicians and the operations team to deliver exceptional service. Our work primarily supports commercial and light industrial facilities, including office buildings, server rooms, laboratories, clean rooms, and other specialized environments. This is a full-time position averaging 40 hours per week, with work primarily located between Vancouver and Chilliwack. *In this role you will* · Service, maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair commercial HVAC equipment. · Work on rooftop units (RTUs), make-up air units (MAUs), unit heaters, heat pump systems, boiler room components, and associated controls. · Respond to service calls and perform preventative maintenance inspections. · Identify equipment deficiencies and provide recommendations for repairs or improvements. · Build and maintain positive relationships with customers through professional communication and service delivery. · Complete service documentation, work orders, and reports accurately and in a timely manner. · Work safely and in accordance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations. · Collaborate with the service team to support operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. · Participate in the on-call rotation schedule as required. · Represent Emerald Green professionally at customer sites and within the community. *To succeed in this role* _Must Haves_ · Journeyperson HVAC/Refrigeration certification (Red Seal). · Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC service experience. · Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities across a variety of commercial HVAC systems. · Experience servicing rooftop units, make-up air units, unit heaters, heat pumps, and boiler room equipment. · Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a clean driving record. · Strong understanding of safe work practices and industry regulations. · Ability to work independently and manage service calls effectively. · Strong customer service and communication skills. · Ability to participate in an on-call rotation schedule. · Physically capable of performing the duties of the position, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing ladders, kneeling, bending, and working in mechanical rooms, rooftops, and other industrial environments. · Gas fitter ?B? ticket _Nice to Haves_ · Gas Fitter "A" Ticket. · Experience working with building automation and control systems. · Experience working in laboratories, server rooms, clean rooms, healthcare facilities, or other specialized environments. · Electrical troubleshooting experience. · Refrigeration experience. · Experience using mobile service software and digital work order systems. · Additional industry certifications or manufacturer training. _Attributes_ · Reliable, dependable, and accountable. · Strong work ethic and commitment to quality workmanship. · Positive attitude and team-first mentality. · Professional and customer-focused. · Punctual and organized. · Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills. · Safety-conscious in all aspects of work. · Self-motivated with the ability to work independently. · Adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. · Takes pride in delivering exceptional service and building long-term customer relationships. · Willing to help train apprentices *What we offer* · Our competitive salaries with a focus on pay equity · Two weeks vacation · Five paid sick days · RRSP matching program · Extended Health & Benefits · Collaborative and inclusive work culture and team events to foster connection a- Location Surrey, BC
