In this key on-site role in Oakville, you will lead the modernization and architecture of our core diagnostic platforms, developing robust web applications, hardware integrations, and cloud services.</p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p><b><strong>The primary responsibilities and duties include but are not limited to:</strong></b></p><p> </p><p>• <b><strong>Diagnostics Modernization: </strong></b>Re-build, architect, and enhance core hardware diagnostic and monitoring platforms for optimal performance and reliability.</p><p>• <b><strong>Full-Stack Development: </strong></b>Design, code, and maintain scalable web applications and microservices using Node.js, C#, C++, and modern frontend frameworks (SPA).</p><p>• <b><strong>Performance & Security: </strong></b>Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize applications for speed, responsiveness, low latency, and security compliance.</p><p>• <b><strong>Cross-Functional Collaboration: </strong></b>Partner with product management, hardware engineers, and business stakeholders to translate technical requirements into scalable solutions.</p><p>• <b><strong>Testing & CI/CD: </strong></b>Drive automated unit testing, code reviews, and CI/CD deployment pipeline improvements across Windows and Linux environments.</p><p>• <b><strong>AI & Modern Tooling: </strong></b>Leverage modern AI development tools (e.g., Claude, VS Code AI tools) to streamline engineering efficiency and code quality.</p><p>• <b><strong>Technical Documentation: </strong></b>Maintain clean system architecture designs, API specifications, and developer documentation.</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Requirements / Qualifications:</strong></b></p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p><b><strong>Academic Training:</strong></b></p><p> </p><p>Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical industry experience.</p><p><b><strong>Work & Technical Experience:</strong></b></p><p> </p><p>• <b><strong>Experience: </strong></b>7+ years of software development experience.</p><p>• <b><strong>Languages & Frameworks: </strong></b>Node.js, C#, C++, <span class="long-word">JavaScript/TypeScript,</span> HTML5, Single Page Applications (SPA). Knowledge of MFC VC++, PHP, Go is an asset.</p><p>• <b><strong>Databases: </strong></b>MySQL, AWS DynamoDB, and general NoSQL database architectures.</p><p>• <b><strong>APIs & Messaging: </strong></b>RESTful APIs (experience with gRPC or MQTT protocols is a plus).</p><p>• <b><strong>Cloud & Tools: </strong></b>AWS, Docker, Git, CI/CD pipelines.</p><p>• <b><strong>Systems & OS: </strong></b>Hands-on experience with both Windows and Linux operating environments; embedded systems background.</p><p>• <b><strong>AI Developer Tools: </strong></b>Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools (Claude, VS Code, Cursor).</p><p> </p><p><b><strong>Specific Competencies:</strong></b></p><p><b><strong> </strong></b></p><p>• <b><strong>Software Architecture & Platform Modernization:</strong></b> Proven ability to design, re-architect, and modernize complex software platforms, with a focus on performance, reliability, and maintainability.</p><p>•- Location Mississauga, ON
