<p>Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Starting Wage: $22.89 per hour (10% Shift Bonus for night shift) Location: Surrey, BC IEM Canada, (Industrial Electric Mfg.</p><p>Canada, Inc.</p><p>in Surrey, BC is the largest independent full-line manufacturer of custom electrical distribution and power quality equipment in North America.</p><p>This position offers an opportunity with a very employee-oriented company with competitive compensation and good benefits.</p><p>WHAT WE OFFER: · Flex Schedules · Extended health benefits · Dental coverage · Vision coverage · Life Insurance · Eligibility towards Group Retirement Savings Plan contributions · Employee Appreciation Events JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking ideal candidates who have experience in powder coating and have a strong understanding of coating techniques and equipment.</p><p>JOB DUTIES: · Read, interpret and follow basic diagrams, engineering drawings, specifications, bills of materials, and other instructions or procedures to accurately fabricate materials and equipment.</li><li>· Assembly for powder coating process, operating spray gun, loading metal pieces onto paint-line hooks, unloading metal pieces after painting, and general shop cleaning.</li><li>· Perform chemical balancing to ensure proper mixtures for powder coating.</li><li>· Conduct routine maintenance on powder coating equipment and tools.</li><li>· Complete verification paperwork accurately and in a timely manner · Practice good housekeeping and safety procedures and adhere to all company policies.</p><p>REQUIREMENTS: · High School diploma or equivalent.</li><li>· Some experience as a powder coat painter.</li><li>· Proficiency in powder coating techniques and equipment.</li><li>· Knowledge of safety procedures related to painting and coating operations.</li><li>· Strong attention to detail and quality.</li><li>· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li><li>· Previous experience in a related field is a plus.</li><li>· Physically fit: frequently lift up to 50 lbs., must be able to bend, squat, crawl and climb.</p><p>Physical / Mental / Environmental: Physical Demands: · Activities: Sitting – 5% Walking/Standing – 95% · Lifting: Frequently lift up to 50 lbs.</li><li>· Bending: Must be able to bend, squat, crawl, and climb.</li><li>· Vision: Long periods of close work on small fonts and fine print on drawings and ability to see small or detailed items.</p><p>Mental Demands: · Interpret, analyze, research, and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.</p><p>Environment: · Shop/warehouse.</p><p>Not climate controlled.</p><p>Exposure to excessive heat and cold, wet/humid conditions, noise/vibration, hazards, dust, and fumes.</p><p>Only applicants who meet the experience requirements will be considered Powered by JazzHR</p>- Location Surrey, BC
