Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification. Instruct apprentices. Supervise other workers. Cut materials using power tools or by hand. Fit and join sheet metal parts. Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes. Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Sheet Metal Worker Trade Certification. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Sheet Metal Worker Red Seal Certificate. Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate. Working at heights training. Specialization or experience: Custom sheet metal items. Heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Humidifier system. Industrial plant piping. Sheeting and cladding. Security and safety: Basic security clearance. Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Vehicle supplied by employer. Willing to travel.
