*Job Overview: Must speak FRENCH and live in this area* We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Early Childhood Assistant to support the development and education of young children in a dynamic classroom environment. The i excellent communication skills in both *French and English* and be able to work with children in a fast paced environment. This role involves assisting lead teachers in creating a nurturing, engaging, and safe learning space that promotes growth, learning, and social-emotional development. Bilingual abilities in English and French are highly valued to support our diverse student population. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while gaining valuable experience in early childhood education and be part of a dynamic team. *Responsibilities* * Assist lead teachers in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities tailored to children's developmental levels * Support children with their individual needs, including those with disabilities or special educational requirements * Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and social interaction * Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring safety at all times * Help with classroom organization, including preparing materials and maintaining cleanliness * Communicate effectively with children, parents, and staff to promote understanding and collaboration * Maybe assigned food preparation duties * Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability *Experience* * Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is preferred * *Bilingual proficiency in English and French is necessary* * Strong communication skills for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members * Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability in a dynamic environment Pay: $22.80 per hour Work Location: In person- Location Orillia, ON
