Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Tasks: Apply fertilizers. Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields, pens and other work areas. Cut agricultural crops. Cut agricultural seed according to farm standards. Divide fresh harvested produce into marketable lots and non-marketable lots. Dose water saturation, light and temperature as instructed for crop growth and development. Hand harvesting vegetables. Harvest seedlings. Mixing fertilizer. Pick row and orchard crops. Seed cutting. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Clean work area. Harvest crops. Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment. Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens. Examine product for quality and its readiness for the market. Experience: No experience (will train). Support for youths: Participates in a government or community program or initiative that supports youth employment. Offers on-the-job training tailored to youth. Offers mentorship, coaching and/or networking opportunities for youth.
