General Construction Supervisor *Leverage Construction Inc.* is seeking an experienced *General Construction Supervisor* to join our team in Squamish, BC. We specialize in *heavy civil construction, underground utilities, excavation, and heavy equipment operations* throughout the Sea to Sky Corridor and Greater Vancouver. *This is a hands-on field supervisory position.* The successful candidate must have practical experience supervising underground utility installation, excavation, heavy equipment operations, and civil infrastructure projects. This position is not suited to applicants whose experience is limited to general building construction or office-based project management. Responsibilities * Supervise daily field operations on heavy civil construction and underground utility projects. * Supervise the installation of watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, manholes, vaults, catch basins, and related underground infrastructure. * Coordinate and supervise heavy equipment operators, truck drivers, pipelayers, labourers, subcontractors, and survey personnel. * Plan and schedule daily work activities to maintain production, quality, and project schedules. * Train, mentor, and supervise field personnel and arrange additional training where required. * Ensure compliance with WorkSafeBC regulations, company safety policies, ground disturbance requirements, and safe work procedures. * Lead daily safety meetings and complete Field Level Hazard Assessments (FLHA), Job Hazard Assessments (JHA), and site documentation. * Read and interpret construction drawings, utility plans, grades, and specifications. * Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, suppliers, and utility owners. * Resolve field issues and recommend practical solutions to improve productivity and efficiency. * Prepare daily reports, production records, and project documentation. * Coordinate materials, equipment, and resources required for construction activities. * Operate GNSS survey equipment and CAD-based layout systems when required. * Supervise excavation activities, trenching, shoring, and the safe installation of underground utilities. * Operate heavy equipment when required to support construction activities. Qualifications * Minimum *3 years' experience* in a construction supervisory or leadership role. * *Demonstrated hands-on experience in heavy civil construction, underground utility installation, excavation, pipeline construction, and heavy equipment operations.* * Experience supervising heavy equipment operators and underground utility crews. * Experience with watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, manholes, vaults, and related underground infrastructure. * Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, grades, utility plans, and specifications. * Working knowledge of WorkSafeBC regulations, BC Ground Disturbance requirements, trench safety, and shoring practices. * Experience coordinating crews, equipment, subcontractors, and daily construction activities. * Experience with GNSS survey equipment and CAD software is an asset. * Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation. * Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physically demanding work when required.
