This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your culinary skills while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. *Responsibilities* * Prepare ingredients and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards * Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations to ensure food safety and efficiency * Assist in food plating and presentation to ensure visually appealing dishes * Follow all food handling and safety protocols diligently to uphold hygiene standards * Support the kitchen team during busy service periods, ensuring timely delivery of orders * Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to coordinate meal preparation and service flow * Monitor inventory levels of ingredients, notifying management when supplies need replenishing *Requirements* * Prior experience in food service or restaurant environments is highly preferred * Knowledge of food preparation techniques, cooking methods, and meal assembly * Familiarity with food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures * Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks involved in kitchen work * Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting * Basic understanding of serving standards and customer service principles * Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to evolving kitchen needs * Must be legally eligible to work in Canada * Must live in BC Embark on a rewarding culinary journey with us!
