*About Synergy* Founded in 2012, Synergy is a turnkey, COR-certified leader in the design, construction, and activation of telecommunications and utility infrastructure. We specialize in directional drilling, hydro-vac, cable placement, fiber splicing, and system activation. We are expanding our footprint to *St. John?s* and are looking for dedicated technicians to join our team. *The Role* We are seeking an *RF Technician* to assist with the installation, implementation, and turn-up of telecom equipment. Whether you are a seasoned pro or looking to start a career in telecommunications, we want to hear from you?*experience is an asset, but we are willing to train the right candidate.* *Major Duties & Responsibilities* * *Equipment Installation:* Install, replace, and set up HFC network components, including Amplifiers, Multitaps, Splitters, and Nodes. * *Troubleshooting:* Identify and repair cable faults in both underground and aerial infrastructure using TDRs, Locators, and A-Frames. * *Power Systems:* Perform re-powering procedures; work with 60v & 90v A/C systems and calculate power loads (AMP Draw). * *Technical Documentation:* Read and understand design drawings; provide accurate "as-built" documentation and keep paperwork up to date. * *Specialty Tools:* Maintain and operate technical tools including Signal Meters, Light Meters, and Voltmeters. *Qualifications * · *Physical Capability:* Ability to safely lift 65 lbs and carry/climb a 28-foot extension ladder (approx. 80 lbs). * *Work Environment:* Comfortable working at heights and willing to work night shifts as required. * *Licensing:* Must hold a valid *Class 5 License* (fully unrestricted) with a clean driver?s record. * *Soft Skills:* High level of professionalism, self-motivation, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team. * *Eligibility:* Must be a Canadian resident currently eligible to work in Canada. *Certifications & Training* *Required (Must hold or be able to obtain immediately):* * *Fall Protection Certification* (Mandatory for working at heights). * *WHMIS 2015* * *Standard First Aid/CPR Level C*. *Preferred Technical Training:* * *NCTI/SCTE Broadband Certifications:* (e.g., Broadband Distribution Specialist). * *Post-Secondary Education:* Diploma in Electronics Engineering Technology or Telecommunications is a major asset. * *Traffic Control Person (TCP) Level I:* Familiarity with NL traffic safety regulations. *Why Join Synergy?* * *Stability:* Full-time, permanent work with consistent 40+ hour weeks. * *Tools for Success:* Company cell phone and a *company vehicle* (for work purposes only). * *Benefits:* Comprehensive Group Benefits after 3 months.
