POSITION TITLE: Program CoordinatorPOSITION TYPE: Full-timeSALARY: 55,000 CAD to 65,000 CADREPORTS TO: Executive Director YUTR MISSION: To engage and equip youth to know and follow Jesus?Primary Objective:The Program Coordinator will bring oversight to the operations of programs, participate in direct youth ministry and provide leadership to staff and volunteers.The Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has a God-given passion for seeing youth realize their inherent value and potentialand seeks to lead them into becoming lifetime followers of Jesus.The successful candidate will succeed in Youth for Christ's (YFC) unique environment if they:Want to participate in expanding the ministry of YFC.Have a vibrant, mission-minded faith.Demonstrate theological / biblical understanding.Possess strong collaborative people management skills.Have strategic thinking and planning abilities.Have administrative and organizational skills.Have a passion to advocate on behalf of youth.Is highly motivated with a strong work ethic.Possess strong written and verbal communication skills.Believe in work / family balance.Responsibilities:SPIRITUAL AND PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT (5%)Maintain spiritual vitalityDevelop healthy, balanced personal lifeBe a faithful, contributing member of a local churchHold self-accountable to supervisor and mentor/accountability partnerForm a personal support team: prayer, encouragement, wisdom, financesPursue learning needed for growth and development in roleParticipate in YFC?s prayer meetingsComplete credentialing program with YFC CanadaYOUTH PROGRAMMING / MINISTRY (70%)Provide collaborative leadership to the ministry team in developing and implementing strategies for youth programs.Participate in direct youth ministry - evening and day programs, events, trips and conferences.Create an environment for growth by creating and inviting youth into healthy and safe community.Develop trusted relationships with students and community leaders.Work in partnership with area Youth Workers, Youth Ministries, and other like-minded partners to accomplish evangelism and outreach goals including challenging and equipping Christian youth to reach out to their peers.Recruit and inspire volunteers to help youth move to the next step towards mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual wholeness.Cultivate team unity and collaboration.Invest in the health and resilience of staff and volunteers.ORGANIZATION / ADMINISTRATION (15%)Meet regularly with supervisor.Participate with the Executive Director in ministry evaluation, direction, and vision.Utilize times of discernment and ongoing needs assessment to determine how the ministry vision can best be realized in the lives of those servedEngage in fundraising activities for ministry programs and ensure they operate in a financially responsible manner.Participate in annual evaluation and revisiting ministry goals.PARTNER DEVELOPMENT (10%)Personal partnership development ? which includes securing and maintaining a sound base of financial & prayer partners to a level sufficient to fund the salary and immediate costs of this position.Keeping partners updated through regular communications and prayer request.- Location Timmins, ON
