In addition, you will collaborate with partners to influence policies and enhance the built environment to help support healthy behaviors and optimize operational performance. </span></p> <p><span>Whether in the classroom or in the community, Health Promotion Specialists are key to making the healthy choice the easy choice for Canadian Armed Forces members. In doing so, you will help to ensure that they are mentally and physically ready to sustain the rigors of operations, and live healthy balanced lives.</span></p><strong>QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED</strong><p><span><strong>Education, Certifications and Licenses </strong></span></p> <p><span>Bachelor?s degree in Health Promotion, Nursing, Mental Health/Social Work, Nutrition, Human Kinetics or a related field</span></p> <p><span><strong> Experience</strong></span></p> <p><span> In managing and organizing the operations and delivery of health promotion programs </span></p> <p><span>In group facilitation and team-building with adults</span></p> <p><span> In establishing, sustaining and fostering a network of professional contacts</span></p> <p><span> In preparing and delivering multi-media social marketing campaigns </span></p> <p><span>In collecting, analyzing and reporting data electronically </span></p> <p><span>In the delivery of adult based learning and facilitation of workshops </span></p> <p><span>In report writing </span></p> <p><span>In project management </span></p> <p><span>In advising, developing, applying and maintaining policies, procedures, and regulations </span></p> <p><span><strong>Competencies</strong></span></p> <p><span> Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership</span></p><strong>LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS</strong><p><span>English Essential / Bilingual <span>(English and French)</span> an asset</span></p> <p><span> Reading: Advanced </span></p> <p><span>Writing: Functional </span></p> <p><span>Oral: Advanced</span></p><strong>BENEFITS AVAILABLE</strong><p><span><strong>Health Benefits:</strong> Drug coverage, healthcare spending account, virtual care (telemedicine), Employee and Family Assistance Program, mental health support, travel insurance, dental,- Location Borden, ON
