Warehouse Supervisor- Job description Warehouse Supervisor is to oversee our warehouse operations. He/she will be responsible for managing the daily activities of the warehouse, ensuring efficient processes, and maintaining high standards of safety and productivity. This role requires strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of warehouse management systems. \_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_\_ *Qualifications: *Proven work experience as a Warehouse Supervisor in Supply Chain/Logistics environment. Proficiency in WMS. Knowledge of warehouse operations and health and safety regulations. Ability to handle physical workload as well as certification on lift truck equipment. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree in logistics or supply chain management or business administration is a plus *Duties:* Maintains and promotes team building by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing programs, operational, and personnel policies and procedures including hiring, discipline as well as documenting and knowledge of the standards within the company and workforce Establish customer relationships by communicating/liaising with customers on any issues pertaining to their account to build strong customer relationships Record and communicate any Vendor Compliance or non-conformities to the customer Safeguards the warehouse operation and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols. Controls inventory levels by conducting or assigning physical random cycle counts to ensure standard accuracy Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; consolidating freight to minimize space used and maximize utilization. Ensure daily equipment inspections are completed by the team as per Health and Safety standards (ensure forklift inspections are completed daily). Arrange and coordinate the assignment of warehouse handling equipment Ensure warehouse space is utilized effectively and kept clean and tidy Ensure that staff are trained in customer accounts and able to handle products and complete documentation as required Check picked orders, goods received/shipped for accuracy Ensure work outside of scope is captured to ensure appropriate billing is captured Ensure Monthly warehouse inspections are completed by Health and Safety team. Ensure products are loaded safely and always secured Manage and ensure compliance with safety and training, including Ontario Occupational and Safety completed online by the warehouse personnel. Minimize, record and report damages on bill of ladings and send to the warehouse reporting office (TO PREVENT CLAIMS AND DAMAGES) Hold daily meetings to resolve any pending issues with the team. Pre-planning each night for the following day with Logistics coordinator & review in the AM. Via daily provided schedule Overseeing/manage proper labour planning based on daily customer volumes. Monitor start times and finish times as well as ensuring break times and lunch times are adhered to by the team, minimizing overtime. General cleanup by employees in their designated work areas at end of the day. Maintains warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling receiving personnel Ensure building and yards are secure at the end of each day Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks. *Primary Objectives* Warehouse cleanliness mandatory Safety of products and employees accomplishing tasks daily. Prevent claims and damages by customer products. Inventory control and product location Knowledge of utilization of systems required Training and development of employees.
