*Company Overview* Barber Collins Security Services Ltd. is a security service provider that has been serving Southwestern Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area since 1980. We pride ourselves on our commitment to our employees and our focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Barber Collins security is looking for a full time Security Guard. Candidates will be working shifts in Guelph, ON. *It is a *_*mandatory*_ *requirement that you own a car for this position. You will be working from your car. * *Shifts:* Friday and Saturday from 11 pm to 7 am * Every weekend * Night shift * 16 hours per week * These hours are _NOT_ negotiable *Responsibilities: * * Conduct regular interior and exterior foot patrols - this is a mandatory requirement for all weather conditions. * Protect company?s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment. * Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences. * Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates. * Watch alarm systems or video cameras and operate detecting/emergency equipment. * Access control for the facility/area. * Ensuring that the facility?s safety and emergency procedures are followed in response to site emergencies. * Demonstrating judgement, common sense, and decision-making ability, particularly when required to take charge and direct others in emergencies or other incidents. *Skills:* * Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position. * Trained Security Guard with a diploma in a related field. * Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment. * Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols. * Surveillance skills and detail orientation. * Integrity and professionalism. * Ability to operate security equipment/systems, computers, radios, phones. * Meticulous record keeping, report writing, observation skills. *Barber-Collins Security welcomes and encourages qualified applications from people with disabilities.
