*\*\*This is a local driving position. Candidates must be located in the South Island area.\*\** _Who We Are_ * ColdStar Solutions is an island-based refrigerated 3PL carrier and grocery wholesaler with terminals in Victoria, Richmond, Cassidy, and Comox. _What We Offer_ * Salary is $32.50/ hour * Benefits package including a Health Spending Account, Life Insurance, Travel Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and quick access to virtual health care * Paid time off * Group RSP plan and matching * Boot allowance * Loyalty bonus program * Paid volunteer time _The Role_ * Night drivers shuttle trailers up and down the Island from Victoria to Cassidy, as well as pick up loads from BC Ferries and Seaspan. There are occasional pick ups and deliveries with customers, but this role primarily runs full trailer loads, pin-to-pin. * This is a full-time role working either Sunday - Thursday, with the shift starting around 11:00pm. _The Responsibilities_ * General P&D activities such as: safe driving, related paperwork, customer service * BC ferries and Seaspan barge moves throughout the evening * Trailer shunting throughout the yard * Communicate effectively and respectfully with Night Warehouse supervisor and manager * Report all incidents and safety hazards in a timely manner to the supervisor or manage _Who You Are_ * A confident and safe Class 1 Driver with at least 1 year of professional driving experience and no major driving infractions * A reliable, flexible, and respectful team-player that takes pride in their work * Someone looking for a local driving job that lets them be at home every day _What You Bring_ * Minimum 1 year of experience driving a 53 foot trailer * Class 1 driver?s license and clean drivers abstract * Ability to drive manual transmission * Physically able to lift 50lbs required * Flexibility for scheduling * Knowledge of reefer settings and food temperature hauling requirements would be great Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From $33.25 per hour Benefits: * Casual dress * Dental care * Disability insurance * Extended health care * Life insurance * On-site parking * Paid time off * RRSP match * Vision care Application question(s): * Are you aware this position works the night shift?
