Job details
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Asset languages: Panjabi; Punjabi. Work site environment: Outdoors. Wet/damp. Hot. Tasks: Budding trees. Clean the crops. Clear and collect brush and debris from fields and other work areas. Cultivate on vertical farming system. Cut agricultural seed according to farm standards. Cut horticultural crops. Hand harvesting vegetables. Harvest seedlings. Remove manually all suckers and water sprouts. Seed cutting. Tie and secure plants. Train trees to produce more fruit of higher quality. Weeding. Spray or dust plants with insecticides and fungicides. Assist in pruning trees, shrubs and plants. Mix and prepare soils. Plant bulbs and seeds. Pot and re-pot plants. Transplant seedlings or rooted cuttings. Apply fertilizers. Report signs of insect or disease damage. Assist in grafting activities. Dig up wrapping rootballs of trees and shrubs. Water and tend to plants, lawns and/or gardens. Clean work area. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Fast-paced environment. Repetitive tasks. Handling heavy loads. Physically demanding. Standing for extended periods. Bending, crouching, kneeling. Large workload. Hand-eye co-ordination. Experience: No experience (will train).
