Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Tasks: Operate mobile and tower cranes to lift, move, position or place equipment and materials. Clean and lubricate cranes. Operate pile driving cranes to drive pilings into earth to provide support for buildings and other structures. Instruct apprentices. Perform routine maintenance work. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Mobile Crane Operator Red Seal Certificate. Type of cranes: Conventional cable crane, tracked. Hydraulic or telescoping boom. Pile driver. Security and safety: Driver's validity licence check. Transportation/travel information: Own vehicle. Willing to travel. Valid driver's licence. Travel expenses paid by employer. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Work under pressure. Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Hand-eye co-ordination. Sitting. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat.
