We provide ongoing learning and professional development opportunities, direct access to firm leadership, and the ability to work closely with experienced professionals who are invested in your success. *About the Role:* As a Bookkeeper at Hedden Chong LLP, you will be responsible for providing bookkeeping and accounting support to a diverse client base. Working closely with both internal team members and clients, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): · Maintain client bookkeeping records and general ledgers · Process AP, AR, and payroll transactions · Prepare bank and credit card statement reconciliations · Manage GST, PST, and payroll remittances · Assist with month-end and year-end working paper preparation · Prepare financial reports and supporting schedules · Communicate with clients to obtain information and respond to bookkeeping-related inquiries · Support team members with client engagements and projects as required *Experience Requirements:* · Minimum 2 years of bookkeeping experience, preferably within a public practice accounting firm · Certificate, diploma, or post-secondary education in Accounting, Bookkeeping, or Finance · Working knowledge of bookkeeping principles, financial recordkeeping, and accounting procedures · Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks (online and desktop), Sage, Xero or similar platforms · Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, such as Excel, Word and Outlook · Excellent attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy and organization · Ability to manage multiple client files and competing priorities in a deadline-driven environment · Strong written and verbal communication skills with a client-service mindset · Self-motivated with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team *What We Offer:* In addition to being a part of a supportive and collaborative team culture, here?s a sneak peak of what you can expect at Hedden Chong LLP: · Extended health and dental benefits · 2 weeks of paid vacation plus 1 week of sick pay · Opportunities for ongoing learning and skill-building · Direct access to firm leadership and mentorship from experienced professionals · Exposure to a diverse client base across various industries · Opportunities to work directly with clients and build strong professional relationships · Regular team-building activities and social events held throughout the year Pay: $45,000.00-$55,000.00 per year Benefits: * Company events * Dental care * Paid time off Application question(s): * Please list the bookkeeping/accounting software that you are proficient in. * Are you able to work on-site at our Burnaby office?
