Education: No degree, certificate or diploma. Work site environment: Noisy. Work setting: Sheet metal shop. Tasks: Check products for correct shapes, dimensions and other specifications. Cut, bend, roll, ream, punch, drill, weld or otherwise shape and form metal stock into parts or products. Document work completed. Lay out, set up and operate one or more light or heavy metalworking machines. Read and interpret specifications or follow verbal instructions. Equipment and machinery experience: Brakes. Use computer numerical control (CNC) machines. Metal forming or shaping operations experience: Bending. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Personal suitability: Judgement. Organized. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?.
