*Position Title:* R&D Team Lead ? Renewable Energy and Sustainable Fuels *About the Position* Green Oil Inc. (GOI) is seeking an R&D Team Lead to support and lead research, analysis, technical assessment, and program development related to sustainable aviation fuel (SAF), renewable fuels, and waste-derived energy technologies. A major focus of the position will be the research, evaluation, and development of SAF and other renewable-fuel pathways utilizing lipid-based waste-stream feedstocks, including used cooking oil. The successful candidate will conduct and coordinate research on emerging renewable-energy technologies, evaluate technical and environmental aspects of fuel-production pathways, provide scientific and policy-related advice to management, and contribute to the planning and development of the company's renewable-energy initiatives. *Key Responsibilities* * Conduct research and analysis on renewable-energy technologies, sustainable fuels, and the utilization of waste-derived lipid feedstocks, including used cooking oil. * Research and assess technologies and pathways for producing sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) and other renewable fuels from lipid-based waste streams. * Lead research and technical assessment of SAF pathways using lipid-based waste feedstocks, including used cooking oil, with particular attention to feedstock suitability, conversion pathways, product specifications, sustainability criteria, and commercialization potential. * Evaluate emerging SAF technologies, production pathways, feedstock requirements, sustainability criteria, and market developments and provide recommendations to management concerning R&D priorities and commercialization opportunities. * Identify and assess external funding opportunities, including government grants, research programs, and other sources of support for renewable-energy and R&D initiatives; prepare or coordinate funding applications, proposals, budgets, and supporting documentation. * Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with government agencies, research institutions, universities, industry organizations, and other stakeholders to support research, technology development, testing, commercialization, and knowledge exchange. * Monitor and interpret technical standards, certification frameworks, regulatory requirements, and industry developments affecting sustainable aviation fuel, including applicable ASTM specifications and other recognized aviation-fuel standards. * Prepare research reports, technical assessments, briefing materials, recommendations, and presentations for management and project partners. * Prepare and coordinate technical and supporting documentation for the Scientific Research and Experimental Development (SR&ED) tax incentive program and other applicable R&D tax-credit or government-support programs, including project descriptions, technical narratives, supporting records, expenditure information, and coordination with management, accounting personnel, and external advisors. * Coordinate joint research and development activities with external partners and contribute to the development of research agreements, project proposals, partnership initiatives, and collaborative funding opportunities. * Evaluate scientific, technical, environmental, regulatory, and policy considerations relevant to renewable-fuel development and commercialization. * Provide advice to management on renewable-energy technologies, sustainability strategies, environmental considerations, and opportunities for technology development. * Coordinate and support research and development projects related to renewable fuels, waste-resource utilization, and sustainable-energy systems. * Review scientific literature, technical data, government policies, regulations, industry standards, and market developments relevant to renewable energy and sustainable fuels. * Assess the technical and environmental feasibility of proposed renewable-fuel technologies and projects. *- Location North York, ON
