*RESPONSIBILITIES* · Diligently follows all food safety and sanitation procedures to ensure guests and associates health is paramount · Organizes and sorts utensils and dishes for cleaning · Returns clean utensils and dishes to appropriate storage area · Ensures the dish washer/appliances are functional as per hotel and health standards · Ensure a safe working environment through proper use of equipment, being proactive in accident prevention and diligent in eliminating safety hazards · Informs Chefs/F&B Managers immediately of any equipment that is broken or requires maintenance · Assists culinary team with various food preparation tasks · Performs other tasks assigned by management, as needed *QUALIFICATIONS* * Can do physical work and keep up with the business volumes * Beginner or better command of English/communication * *Flexible availability to work 20-28 hours weekly consistent with operational hours including morning/mid-day/evening shifts on Thu, Fri, weekends, stat holidays* * Can cope well under pressure and finds efficient ways of completing assignments * Passion for culinary arts a great asset * Can lift up to 50 pounds * Post secondary education in culinary a big asset * Must be able to understand and follow WHMIS/safety at all times * Must be a team player _Vancouver Airport Marriott Hotel is an equal opportunity employer committed to fostering a positive and inclusive workplace.
