Artisan Smoke Shop* *Company:* Artisan Smoke Shop *Job Type:* Part-time / Student position *Pay:* BC minimum wage ? *$18.25 per hour* *Start Date:* As soon as possible *Artisan Smoke Shop* Artisan Smoke Shop is a growing retail smoke shop offering products such as vapes, e-juices, smoking accessories, bongs, hookah products, cigars, snacks, exotic drinks, and convenience items. We are looking for a friendly, responsible, and reliable *Retail Sales Associate* to join our team and help provide excellent customer service in-store. *Job Responsibilities* The Retail Sales Associate will be responsible for: * Greeting customers and providing friendly customer service * Helping customers find products and explaining basic product information * Operating the POS system, handling cash, debit, and credit transactions * Checking valid government-issued ID before selling age-restricted products * Following all tobacco and vapour product rules and store policies * Restocking shelves, coolers, display cases, and product sections * Keeping the store clean, organized, and presentable * Labelling prices and updating product displays when needed * Assisting with inventory counts and stock receiving * Reporting low-stock items, customer requests, or product issues to management * Preventing theft by staying alert and following store procedures * Supporting daily opening and closing duties when required *Requirements* Applicants should have: * Good communication and customer service skills * A responsible and professional attitude * Ability to work independently and as part of a team * Basic math and cash-handling skills * Ability to stand for long periods and lift small to medium boxes when needed * Willingness to learn about products and store operations * Must be legally eligible to work in Canada Because this role involves selling age-restricted tobacco and vapour products, the candidate must be comfortable checking IDs and refusing sales when required. In BC, the legal age to buy vapour products is *19*, and retailers must sell only to customers who meet the age requirement. *Preferred Skills* The following are assets but not mandatory: * Previous retail or cashier experience * Smoke shop, vape shop, convenience store, or gas station experience * Knowledge of vapes, e-juices, bongs, hookah, cigars, or smoking accessories * Experience with POS systems * Inventory or merchandising experience *Who Can Apply* We welcome applications from: * Students * Full-time applicants * Part-time applicants * Entry-level candidates * Candidates with retail or customer service experience Training will be provided to the right candidate. *Work Schedule* Flexible shifts are available, including weekdays, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
