We invest in our employees, foster collaboration, and strive to provide an exceptional experience for our customers from order placement to delivery and installation. *Position Summary* We are seeking a *Payroll Administrator* to join our accounting team at our Richmond Hill location. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for processing bi-weekly non-union payroll while providing backup support for the company's weekly union payroll as required. This role will also provide support with Accounts Payable functions. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and committed to delivering accurate, confidential, and timely payroll services in a fast-paced environment. Please note: Mansteel Rebar Ltd. does not require Canadian work experience as part of its hiring criteria. *Key Responsibilities* *Payroll* * Process bi-weekly payroll for non-union employees accurately and on schedule. * Provide backup support for weekly union payroll during vacations, absences, and peak periods. * Review and verify employee hours, earnings, deductions, benefits, and payroll adjustments. * Process new hires, terminations, salary changes, and employee status updates. * Prepare Records of Employment (ROEs). * Prepare payroll journal entries and reconcile payroll-related accounts. * Manage payroll remittances, year-end reporting, and T4 preparation. * Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a professional and timely manner. * Maintain payroll records in accordance with company policies and legislative requirements. * Assist with payroll audits and other payroll-related projects as required. *Accounts Payable Support* * Review invoices for proper approvals, coding, and supporting documentation. * Match invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents where applicable. * Assist with payment runs and month-end AP procedures. * Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. *Qualifications* * Diploma or certificate in Payroll Administration, Accounting, Finance, or a related field. * PCP (Payroll Compliance Practitioner) designation or working toward certification is considered an asset. * 2?4 years of payroll experience. * Strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation, CRA requirements, and Employment Standards. * Experience with payroll and ERP software (Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Sage HCM/Criterion, or similar is an asset). * Proficient in Microsoft Excel. * Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. * Strong communication and problem-solving skills. * Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion. * French language skills are considered an asset. *What We're Looking For* The ideal candidate: * Is highly organized and able to manage multiple payroll deadlines. * Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail. * Takes ownership of their work and maintains confidentiality. * Works collaboratively with the accounting team. * Is flexible and willing to provide backup support for both union payroll and Accounts Payable when needed. *AI Disclosure* Applicants should be aware that Mansteel Rebar Ltd. may use automated systems or artificial intelligence tools to support resume screening and recruitment decision-making processes. *Compensation & Benefits* * Salary: $60,000 per year (pay range disclosed in accordance with Ontario pay transparency requirements) * Dental and extended health care * On-site parking * Stable, growing company with long-term career opportunities *Work Location* Richmond Hill, Ontario (in- Location Richmond Hill, ON
