Our comprehensive training programs include: * Advanced Crisis Management * Effective Communication Techniques * Criminal Code & Legal Authorities * Use of Force Theory * Handcuffing (Active & Compliant) * Expandable Baton Certification * Sharp-Edged Weapons Defence We believe that exceptional training fosters professionalism, sound judgment, and respectful interactions with the public. *Position Overview* As a Tier 2 Healthcare Security Guard, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure healthcare environment. This position requires professionalism, situational awareness, and the ability to respond effectively to dynamic situations. *Key Responsibilities* * Conduct proactive patrols to ensure the safety of patients, staff, physicians, and visitors * Respond promptly to emergency calls and incidents * Support healthcare staff in maintaining a secure environment * Collaborate with Police, EMS, Fire Services, and other stakeholders * Enforce site policies and applicable legislation, including the Trespass to Property Act and the Criminal Code of Canada * Exercise lawful authority, including arrest powers where applicable *Qualifications* * Valid Ontario Security Guard License * Strong interpersonal and communication skills * Ability to remain composed and make sound decisions under pressure * Demonstrated commitment to professionalism and public safety * Previous healthcare or high-risk environment experience is considered an asset *Employment Type* * Full-time * Part-time * Casual *What We Offer* * Supportive and professional team environment * Ongoing training and development opportunities * Company events * On-site parking * Employee store discount *Work Location* * In person - Listowel, Wingham, or Hanover sites *Join Our Team* If you are a motivated professional who takes pride in protecting others and contributing to community safety, we encourage you to apply and become part of the Vigilant Security team.
