*Personalized Community Care Home ? Edmonton, AB * *YOUTH WORKER * *(Full-time, Permanent Position)* McMan Youth, Family and Community Services is seeking to recruit a dedicated Youth Worker to support youth between the ages of 13-17 who present with complex behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs. Supporting youth in a specialized community-based care environment, the Youth Worker plays a vital role in ensuring safety, stability, and continuity of care during daytime hours. Working within a therapeutic home setting and guided by the CARE (Creating Conditions for Change) Model, the Youth Worker utilizes a strength-based, solution-focused approach to support the unique needs of each youth. This role helps maintain a structured, nurturing environment built on positive relationships, consistency, and individualized care while promoting personal growth, resilience, and increased independence. Responsibilities include providing direct supervision and support, responding to the emotional, behavioral, developmental, and physical needs of youth, facilitating daily routines and activities, supporting the development of life skills and healthy decision-making, completing accurate documentation, and contributing to a safe and supportive atmosphere. The successful candidate will demonstrate patience, empathy, sound judgment, and a commitment to helping youth thrive through meaningful connections, compassionate care, trauma-informed practices, and preparation for successful transitions into adulthood. *Hours of Work:* This position works on a Monday to Friday rotational schedule, alternating between 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. shifts on a weekly basis.
