<p>Registered Veterinary Technician | $26–$35/hour | $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Location: Toronto, Ontario Schedule: Full-Time | Four 10-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shifts Compensation: $26–$35/hour + $3/hour Overnight Differential + $2/hr weekend premium + $2,500 Sign-On Bonus Central Toronto Veterinary Referral & Emergency Clinic (CTVRC/EC) is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our Emergency & Specialty animal hospital in Toronto, Ontario.</p><p>This is an opportunity for a Veterinary Technician to build advanced ER, Critical Care, and specialty medicine skills while working alongside an experienced referral hospital team.</p><p>As a Veterinary Technician at CTVRC/EC, you’ll support complex emergency cases, collaborate with specialists, and continue growing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment focused on high-quality patient care.</p><p>Compensation $26–$35/hour based on experience and skillset $3/hour shift differential for hours worked between 7:00 PM and 7:00 AM $2/hour shift different for weekends $2,500 sign-on bonus Full-Time Benefits: OAVT annual dues reimbursement.</p><p>Continued education support.</p><p>Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and life insurance, plus access to an Employee Assistance Program.</p><p>RRSP matching program Staff pet allowance, paid sick days, and paid personal days.</p><p>Uniform(s) provided Access to VetBloom (RACE-approved CE) Veterinary Technician Education Scholarships Schedule Four 10-hour shifts OR three 12-hour shifts Days, evenings, and overnight opportunities available Rotating weekends (typically every other weekend) Responsibilities Triage and assess emergency patients presenting with shock, trauma, toxicity, acute illness, and other critical conditions Perform and document patient evaluations and treatments Assist with advanced procedures including thoracentesis, ultrasound procedures, central line placement, epidurals, and other specialized treatments Provide exceptional nursing care for hospitalized and outpatient cases Perform patient monitoring, TPRs, catheter placement and maintenance, wound care, and rehabilitation support Assist with diagnostic testing and treatment plans Support surgical procedures from patient preparation through anesthesia monitoring and recovery Deliver compassionate patient care and exceptional client communication Collaborate closely with emergency veterinarians, specialists, and support staff to ensure outstanding patient outcomes Qualifications Graduate of an OAVT-accredited Veterinary Technician program Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) preferred, or eligible to obtain registration Passed or currently preparing to write the VTNE OAVT membership in good standing Interest in emergency and critical care medicine Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Commitment to patient care, client service, respect, and accountability Fluent English speaking and reading skills required About Central Toronto Veterinary Referral & Emergency Clinic CTVRC/EC is a premier specialty referral and emergency veterinary hospital serving Toronto and the surrounding region.</p><p>Our team provides advanced specialty and emergency care across multiple disciplines including Surgery, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Anesthesiology, Cardiology, Ophthalmology, and Emergency & Critical Care.</p><p>Why Join Our Team?</p><p>Work alongside experienced specialists and emergency clinicians Expand your technical skills through advanced procedures and complex case management Receive mentorship and support for continued professional growth Practice at the top of your license and contribute your clinical expertise Enjoy a collaborative culture where veterinary technicians are respected and empowered Benefit from a schedule designed to support work-life balance while building advanced emergency medicine skills Surrounding Areas- Location Toronto, ON
