Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate. Work site environment: Non-smoking. Work setting: Custom cabinet shop. Millwork shop. Commercial. Custom Work. Tasks: Operate woodworking machines, such as power saws, jointers, mortisers and shapers, to cut, shape and form parts and components. Trim joints and fit parts and subassemblies together to form complete unit and reinforce joints. Sand wooden surfaces and apply veneer, stain or polish to finished products; prepare and apply laminated plastics. Area of specialization: Cabinets. Doors and door frames. Millwork. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Attention to detail. Weight handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs). Own tools/equipment: Tools. Steel-toed safety boots. Screening questions: Do you have experience working in this field?. Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years. Employment terms options: Day. Overtime available.
