Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years. Work setting: Urban area. Installation. Tasks: Inspect electrical and avionics systems. Install aircraft instruments. Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety. Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment. Test electrical, electronic and instrument components. Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment. Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components. Troubleshoot problems related to equipment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E. Aircraft experience: Small piston airplane. Small turboprops. Small jet airplane. Small piston helicopter. Small turbine helicopter. Medium turbine helicopter. Large turbine helicopters.
