Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. Work site environment: Noisy. Dusty. Cold/refrigerated. Hot. Odours. Wet/damp. Work setting: Food processing plant. Tasks: Move tools, equipment and other materials. Help tradespersons, apprentices and other workers as directed. Operate forklift. Assist in routine maintenance and repair of equipment. Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment. Assist in operation, repair and maintenance. Set up and operate machines to clean, cut, cook, smoke, brine, dehydrate or otherwise process fish or seafood products. Set up and operate machines to can, bag, box or otherwise package fish and seafood products. Check products and packaging for defects and to ensure conformance to company standards and perform corrective machine adjustments as required. Equipment and machinery experience: Shellfish processing machine. Area of work experience: Maintenance. Repair. Production. Manufacturing sector experience: Food. Transportation/travel information: Own transportation. Valid driver's licence. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Manual dexterity. Bending, crouching, kneeling.
