Education: Other trades certificate or diploma. Construction trades, general. Tasks: Assemble mechanical equipment. Assemble stationary industrial machinery. Coach and instruct apprentices. Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions. Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements . Construct foundations for machinery. Repair or replace defective machinery parts. Supervise other workers. Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up. Perform routine maintenance work on machinery. Operate machining tools to fabricate parts. Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs). Installing machinery and equipment. Operate hoisting and lifting equipment. Commission systems and components. Perform scheduled preventive maintenance work. Welding experience. Supervision: Construction millwrights. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Construction Millwright Trade Certification. Occupational Health and Safety Certificate. Hoisting and Rigging Training.
