We are looking for a professional pastry cook who is passionate about pastry/bakery products and willing to learn and grow with us! Permanent, full-time position: Candidate must have full availability and will be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays. More hours will be available as per request. We pride ourselves on product innovation, work-life balance, and friendly working environment. *Main responsibilities:* · Follow recipes in making entremets, cakes, tarts and assorted pastries and fillings · Prepare and decorate cakes, pastries, desserts and baked goods (including croissants and breads, specialty cakes, and other items as required) · Coordinate with front of house to ensure proper daily baked goods availability for our guests. · Contribute to custom cakes and dessert table production (working with fondant, tempered chocolate, etc) · Work closely with the Executive Chef in menu development and baking and pastry offerings. · Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and safe *Experience:* · 1+ Year previous experience in professional pastry kitchen · Completion of a baking + pastry program is a strong asset *Ideal Candidate:* · Must LOVE food! We mean it. · Food Handler Certificate · Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. · Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure/fast paced environment · Knowledge of chocolate tempering is a strong asset · Ability to stand for extended period of time · Ability to lift up to 20kg · Ability to work morning shifts, weekdays, weekends, holidays · Ability to organize, prioritize, multitask and listen to instruction. · Proof of work eligibility in Canada *Salary:* $18-$20.00 per hour _(based on experience)_ *Additional Pay: *Tips *Schedule:* · 8 hour shift · Day shift · Monday to Sunday · Weekend availability mandatory Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Internship / Co-op Pay: $18.00-$20.00 per hour Benefits: * Company events * Discounted or free food * On-site parking * Store discount Experience: * Baking: 1 year (required) Work Location: In person
