Farm Hand ? Broiler Chicken Farm - In Chilliwack BC Please note we are looking to hire someone locally, or someone willing/able to relocate to the area within a very short time period. We are seeking a reliable, hardworking *Farm Hand* to assist the Farm Manager with the day-to-day operations of a broiler chicken farm, as well as do landscaping jobs and handyman duties. POULTRY FARM EXPERIENCE strongly preferred. This is a hands-on position suited to someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in keeping a farm clean and well maintained, and is comfortable with a variety of physical tasks. Responsibilities * Assist the Farm Manager with the daily care and management of broiler chickens * Help maintain clean, safe, and well-organized farm facilities * Perform farm cleaning duties, including pressure washing and general cleaning and sanitation * Assist with routine farm maintenance and upkeep * Perform light repairs and basic maintenance as needed * Help with general farm tasks and other duties as required * Follow farm biosecurity, safety, and animal-care procedures Qualifications & Skills * Previous farm or agricultural experience is preferred * Landscaping experience preferred * Poultry or livestock experience is an asset * Reliable, responsible, and willing to learn * Able to work independently as well as follow direction from the Farm Manager * Comfortable performing physical work, including some lifting, carrying, bending, and other physically demanding tasks * Basic mechanical or repair skills are an asset * Strong attention to cleanliness, safety, and animal welfare Accommodations *Optional accommodations may be available* and can be discussed and negotiated with the successful candidate.
