<b>Job Description</b><br><span id="spandesc"><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b>Description:</b><br/></p><ul><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span>A senior QA Specialist who will be responsible for ongoing testing of the Ontario Agricultural Soil Information System (OASIS).<br/></span></li><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span>The OASIS solution comprises the OASIS core web application (built using Azure Cloud Java technology) and OASIS field data application (built using ESRI GIS technology).<br/></span></li></ul><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"> <br/></p><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b>Background:</b><br/></p><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify">The purpose of the Ontario Agricultural Soil Information System (OASIS) project is to design and develop a robust, comprehensive system for the collection, storage and maintenance of OMAFA?s legacy and new agricultural soil data in alignment to actions under the Soil Strategy and other emerging OMAFA and government initiatives. <br/></p><div class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><br/></div></span><br/><span id="spanreq"><h3>Requirements</h3><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b><u><span style="">Experience and Skill Set Requirements:</span></u></b><br/></p><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b><u><span style="">Must Haves:</span></u></b><br/></p><ul><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span><span style="">5+ years of QA testing using Agile, hybrid and Waterfall SDLC methodologies.</span><br/></span></li><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span><span style="">Provide comprehensive and detailed hands-on testing covering cloud-based Java technologies, including JSON, RESTful Web Services, HTML5.</span><br/></span></li><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span><span style="">Develop plans, execute testing and produce testing artifacts, assuring software quality.</span><br/></span></li><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span><span style="">Documenting errors and defect tracking management</span><br/></span></li><li class="align-justify" style="text-align:justify"><span><span style="">Creation and implementation of test strategy, plans for testing software, debugging code, and enhancing the usability of programs.</span><br/></span></li></ul><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><span style=""> </span><br/></p><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b><u><span style="">Skill Set Requirements:</span></u></b><br/></p><p class="align-justify" style="margin-top:0px; text-align:justify"><b>Mandatory Technical Skills and Experience:</b><br/></p><ol type="1" start="1" style="margin-top:0cm"><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Minimum 5 years of experience performing quality assurance and testing activities within Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall SDLC environments.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Experience testing cloud-based applications developed using Java technologies, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Proven experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases and test scripts, test execution and reporting artifacts.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and managing software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">Demonstrated ability to validate business and technical requirements, support debugging activities, and contribute to overall software quality and usability.<br/></li><li style="text-align:justify" class="align-justify">E- Location Toronto, ON
