Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate. or equivalent experience. Work site environment: Outdoors. Dusty. Work setting: Various locations. Tasks: Interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications to plan methods or sequences of operation . Operate heavy equipment. Clean and lubricate equipment and refill equipment tanks. Operate computer controlled equipment. Complete onboard and other logs. Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment. Secure special attachments to equipment. Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment. Operate hydraulic pumping systems. Certificates, licences, memberships, and courses : Driver's License (Class 3 or D). Air Brake (Z) Endorsement. Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certificate. Ground Disturbance - Level 1 program. Equipment and machinery experience: Drills. Security and safety: Driving record check (abstract). Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's licence. Public transportation is not available. Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding. Attention to detail. Fast-paced environment. Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots. Hard hat. Safety glasses/goggles. Gloves.
