<p></p><p><strong>General Labourers</strong></p><p><strong>Permanent Full-Time</strong></p><p><strong>4-day work week</strong></p><p><strong>Aallcann Wood Suppliers</strong></p><p><strong>Prince Albert, SK (and surrounding area)</strong></p><p><strong>Multiple Vacancies </strong></p><p></p><p><strong>SUMMARY</strong></p><p> Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, the General Labourer will work in <strong>Prince Albert, SK</strong> in the wood operation process.</p><p><strong>EXPECTED CONTRIBUTIONS</strong></p><p>The General Labourer position works in various areas of the wood processing facility. Physical strength and stamina are required to perform the following duties: </p><ul> <li>Unload, load and separate wood products into industrial machines by maneuvering wood pieces into equipment during production</li> <li>Manually guide wood against saws and operate automatic feeding devices to guide cuts</li> <li>Manually feed wood products into machines in the peeling and trimming process of wood products</li> <li>Inspect and measure wood pieces to mark for cuts and to verify the accuracy of cuts</li> <li>Count, sort, and stack finished wood pieces</li> <li>Dispose of trash and waste materials as required</li> <li>Perform housekeeping duties in work area to ensure a safe and clean work environment</li> </ul><p></p><p><strong>Requirements</strong></p><p><strong>KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES</strong></p><p></p><ul> <li>A safety conscious attitude</li> <li>Able to accurately count and identify various lumber products</li> <li>Good hand eye coordination and ability to maintain concentration and focus for long periods</li> <li>Able to lift up to 50 pounds or 23 kilograms</li> <li>Bending, lifting, and reaching during course of shift</li> <li>Must be able to speak, read, and write English</li> <li>Must be able to wear hand, eye and ear protection as required</li> <li>Experience working in wood processing or lumber yard is desirable </li> <li>Must be flexible to accommodate operational and scheduling requirements</li> </ul><p> </p><p><strong>WORKING CONDITIONS</strong></p><ul> <li>Must be able to tolerate working in outdoor conditions year round </li> <li>Work site will be hot in the summer and can be extremely cold during the winter</li> <li>Workers will need strength and stamina to stand, bend and lift on a daily basis</li> <li>Work site can often be noisy and dusty</li> <li>May work around machinery with blades or other hazards</li> </ul><p> </p><p><br> <strong>EDUCATION</strong></p><ul><li>High school graduation or equivalent an asset</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT</strong></p><ul><li>Must have own steel-toed boots</li></ul><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>COMPENSATION </strong></p><ul><li>Hourly rate </li></ul><p></p><p><strong>WORK LOCATION</strong></p><ul><li>Prince Albert, SK, Mill is located 23 KM?s East of Prince Albert on Hwy 55 and Whitestar Road.</li><li>Candidates will need their own transportation to travel to and from the work site. No public transportation available to the work area</li></ul><p></p><p><strong>HOURS OF WORK</strong></p><ul><li>10-hour shifts, four days per week ?
