<p><strong>Employment Type: </strong>Permanent · Full-Time / Part-Time</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Northwestern Ontario</p> <p><strong>About the Role: </strong>Join a regional critical care unit supporting the only tertiary hospital in Northwestern Ontario, where advanced ventilation, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive therapies converge for the region?s most critically ill patients.</p> <p><strong>Key Responsibilities:</strong></p> <ul><li><p>Perform rigorous ongoing assessments of critically ill patients</p></li><li><p>Manage mechanical ventilation, vasoactive infusions, and sedation therapies</p></li><li><p>Monitor arterial/central lines and invasive hemodynamic parameters</p></li><li><p>Administer high-alert medications with precision</p></li><li><p>Collaborate with intensivists, critical care specialists, and the multidisciplinary team</p></li><li><p>Provide support and clear guidance to families navigating critical illness</p></li></ul> <p><strong>Qualifications ? Must-Haves:</strong></p> <ul><li><p>Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing</p></li><li><p>Nursing diploma or degree from an approved program</p></li><li><p>Current BLS/BCLS certification</p></li><li><p>Recent hands-on ICU/critical-care nursing experience, including caring for mechanically ventilated patients</p></li><li><p>Experience with arterial/central lines, invasive hemodynamic monitoring, and vasoactive infusions/sedation therapies</p></li><li><p>Strong clinical assessment, critical-thinking, and emergency-response capabilities</p></li></ul> <p><strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong></p> <ul><li><p>ACLS certification</p></li><li><p>Critical Care/Coronary Care post-graduate certificate</p></li><li><p>Experience with advanced critical-care modalities such as CRRT</p></li></ul> <p><strong>Work Conditions: </strong>Operate in a highly specialized, low-ratio unit demanding continuous vigilance and analytical precision.
