<p><strong>Tech Talent International (SI)</strong> supplies technical talent to a variety of clients ranging from Fortune 100/500/1000 companies to small and mid-sized organizations in Canada/US and Europe.</p> <p>We currently have a role as a <strong>Senior Fullstack Java Developer</strong> with our large consulting client for a major banking services client in the downtown Montreal area. This role can either be a permanent role or a long term contract.</p> <p></p> <p><strong>Role:</strong> <strong>Senior Fullstack Java Developer</strong></p> <p><strong>Type: Permanent </strong>37.5 hrs/week</p> <p><strong>Location: </strong>Hybrid<strong> - </strong>Downtown Montreal, QC -(roles starts off 5 days in office for 1st 3 months, then turns into hybrid setup 3 days onsite, 2 days from home)</p> <p><strong>Salary: </strong>$90,000 - $95,000 + 9% bonus + 3-6 weeks paid vacation + RRSP contribution + benefits + sick/personal day + cell phone allowance + discounts for public transit and may other perks</p> <p><strong>Contract: </strong>$90-$105/hr C2C</p> <p><strong>RESPONSIBILITIES</strong><br/><br/></p> <ul><li>Design, develop, and maintain applications on the Java platform using Spring Boot and Angular/React.</li><li>Participate in system design and architecture discussions for multi-tiered enterprise applications.</li><li>Develop, deploy, and support RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.<br/>Collaborate closely with Trading business users and IT stakeholders in a global environment.</li><li>Contribute to containerized application deployments using Kubernetes and Docker.</li><li>Work with MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases to design and optimize data solutions.</li><li>Apply software engineering best practices including design patterns, unit testing, source control, and continuous integration.</li><li>Participate in Agile development ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.</li></ul> <p>Ensure applications meet performance, reliability, and scalability requirements in a high-pressure financial environment.<br/> <strong><br/>Profile</strong><br/> <strong><br/>Mandatory</strong><br/>Minimum 5 years of software development experience within an investment banking or financial services environment.<br/>Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot.<br/>Experience with Angular and/or React.<br/>Experience developing and deploying RESTful APIs and/or gRPC services.<br/>Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.<br/>Strong understanding of service-oriented architecture.<br/>Knowledge of MSSQL and PostgreSQL databases.<br/>Experience with Git, unit testing, and continuous integration tools.<br/>Strong understanding of programming design patterns, including MVVM.<br/>Knowledge of multi-threading and modern multi-tier application architectures.<br/>Experience collaborating with Trading business users and IT stakeholders.<br/>Detail-oriented, rigorous, and able to perform effectively in a high-pressure environment.<br/>Good understanding of Agile development methodologies.<br/><br/></p> <p><strong><strong><br/></strong></strong></p> <p><strong><strong>Nice to Have</strong><br/></strong></p> <p>Experience with Python.<br/>Additional experience working on front-office or trading-related applications.<br/>Exposure to cloud-native architectures and microservices environments.</p> <p>Bilingual (English/French) </p>- Location Montréal, QC
