<p><strong>This is a fully remote position</strong>, open to candidates based in Canada.</p><p><strong>Pay:</strong> $50?$100/hr</p><p>Role Title: DevOps Engineer</p><p>Role Type: Contractor</p><p>Location: Remote</p><p>We are engaging DevOps Engineers to contribute to a dynamic customer project focused on scalable, modern cloud infrastructure. In this role, you'll apply your expertise to help train next-generation AI systems. Your work will shape how models learn, reason, and perform through high-quality, real-world input. No prior experience in AI is required ? your domain knowledge is what matters. This opportunity is ideal for professionals passionate about automation, infrastructure as code, and continuous improvement, with a special focus on strong written and verbal communication skills.</p><p><strong>Key responsibilities</strong></p><ol><li>Design realistic DevOps tasks based on production-style scenarios (CI/CD, containers, orchestration, IaC, monitoring, incident response)</li><li>Write working reference solutions with clear setup and validation steps</li><li>Review AI-generated output, identify failures, and write precise corrections with reasoning</li><li>Maintain a strict quality bar on correctness and reproducibility</li><li>Share structured feedback that improves future task design</li></ol><p><strong>Required qualifications</strong></p><ol><li>3+ years of professional experience in DevOps, SRE, Platform, or Infrastructure engineering</li><li>Strong coding ability in Python, Go, Bash, or TypeScript (this role needs real code, not scripts alone)</li><li>Practical depth in CI/CD (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins), Docker, Kubernetes, and at least one cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure)</li><li>Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or CloudFormation)</li><li>Advanced Linux and Git</li><li>Professional English, written and spoken</li><li>Availability of at least 20 hours per week</li></ol><p><strong>Preferred qualifications</strong></p><ol><li>Observability stack experience (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry)</li><li>Security, secrets management, or platform reliability background</li><li>Open source contributions or technical writing</li><li>Previous AI training data or model evaluation work</li></ol> <p><strong>How to apply</strong></p> <p>Apply here with your Indeed profile.
